1. Offer to insert ads into your product package for other businesses. Just ask, in return that they do the same for your business. You should only trade insert ads with businesses that have the same target audience.
2. Offer a free daily class in your web site’s chatroom.
The class should be related to the subject of your business or web site. This will get people to visit your web site everyday.
3. Do you have a product that doesn’t sell good?
Offer it as a free bonus for another businesses product or service. You’ll get free advertising by placing your web site or business ad on the free bonus.
4. Place different emotional response ads for the same product or service all over your web site. One ad may hit their hot button to buy more than another ad.
5. Publish your e-zine in e-book format.
You could offer a larger number of articles per issue. It also allows you to include graphics with your ezine.Your advertising revenue would increase because you could charge businesses for large color ads.
Are You Uncovering Market Niches Without Knowing It?
Almost everyone uses the Internet to search for information. After all, that is what the Web is…a gigantic sea of information. Is it possible that you have uncovered a market niche (or maybe many) through your everyday research?
Over the past eighteen months or so that I have been a “captive of the Internet” I have found the need to search for specific information on many topics. Sometimes those searches have been difficult and resulted in hitting literally hundreds of web sites in my quest for answers.
I find a great article here and an interesting tip there. A link to more information on another site which leads to another site and so on and so on. Finally, after many hours of searching,
I gather enough information to satisfy my original desire for an answer.
Has this ever happened to you? If it has (and I am reasonably sure it has), did you overlook a market niche in the process?
Fact: If you have trouble finding information on a topic - then anyone else looking for the same information will have the same difficulty finding it, too.
What’s this got to do with uncovering a niche?
If enough Internet surfers are looking for information on that topic and having trouble finding it, you would be doing a valuable service by gathering the results of your research into one web site. Doing so could create an awesome niche.
Sound interesting? Here are some habits that I have formed and use whenever I do research on the Net:
Create a new folder in my “favorites” section of my browser. Bookmark every page on which I find information that is related and valuable to my search If the site has an ezine I explore the “archives” for articles related to my search and bookmark all those pages. If the site has a “links” page I explore those links for more information on my research topic. Again, bookmark all good information. I have found that using these methods produce two very beneficial results:
1) I can easily find my way back to the information that was so difficult to find.
2) By doing a little more research I can find just how many people are searching for the same information. If I find that number to be large enough, I have uncovered “ready made” content for a niche web site.
What do you do if you feel there is a niche?
Get permission from the authors to reproduce their articles on a new site or in a new section of one of your existing sites. Call it a “topical directory” or an “information library”.
And be sure to add some content of your own.
It is then a very simple process to test market your new “niche”. This test can be done without spending much money and could possibly result in a web site that garners a large amount of very targeted traffic.
Think about the research you have done in the past. Now - go find a new niche!

1. Design your web site to be a targeted resource center. Choose one subject and build on it. You’ll gain repeat visitors that are interested in that topic.
2. Offer something that is really free. If people go to your site and what you said was free really isn’t, you’ll lose their trust and they won’t buy anything.
3. Add a chat room or message board to your web site. People want to interact with other people that have they same interests as them.
4. Entice people to link to your web site by giving them something free in return. This’ll increase your ranking in some search engines.
5. Trigger your reader’s emotions in your ad copy. Example, if you sell a book on gambling tips, tell them the feelings they’ll get when they win money.
6. Make sure your site looks good in all browsers. You could be losing sales because it looks distorted in some web browsers.
7. Increase your sales by e-mailing full page ads to your e-zine subscribers. Remember to tell people before they subscribe or they may consider it spam.
8. Ask people questions in your ad copy that make them think about their problems. For example: Do you want to be free of your debts?
9. Magnify the size of your prospects problem in your ad; show how your product can solve it. The bigger the problem, the more sales you’ll have.
10. Invest a percentage of your profits right back into your business. Spend it on marketing, product improvement, customer service, advertising, etc.
Almost everyone wants to succeed on the Internet. As a result most of the information on Internet marketing stress on the technical aspects of techniques and strategies that can make you successful. Some claim that these are ’secrets’ that only a selected group have access to! You will also come across information and websites that Guarantee ‘instant success’ if you just get hold of these ’secrets’. It is just like having the ’secret pill’
The truth is that there are no ’secrets’ on the Internet. This is because most information are freely available on the Internet. These so called ’secrets’ are merely techniques and strategies that are commonly used by most Internet marketers. The question is, ‘why are some people successful, while others do not succeed’?
I strongly believe that the missing ingredient for success on the Internet is having the right Mindset and Attitude. These are the much neglected aspects of Internet marketing.
Here are some of the mindsets and attitudes that may assist you to move your Internet business to higher level.
1. Belief
You need to have a strong belief system in order to succeed. Here are three things that you need to strongly believe in:
(a) The potential of the Internet and that it is a ‘vehicle’ that can move you towards your dreams.
(b) The products or services that you are promoting.
(c) YOURSELF! You need to believe that you are special and can succeed just like those who have succeeded.
2. Positive Attitude
The actions that you take may not yield you the intended result in the beginning. There may be set-backs and challenges along the way. No matter what the immediate outcome is, you need to always look at the positive side of things. Remember that the natural law of ‘Polarity’ dictates that there are two sides to every situation. Learn to look at the glass as ‘half full’ rather than ‘half empty’.
3. Learning Attitude
Learning is a continuous process. You will need to keep on learning and improving yourself no matter how successful you may be. This is more so on the Internet due to the rapid and constant changes. Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonalds said,’when you are green you will continue to grow, but when you are ripen, you will rot and drop to the ground’.
4. Grateful Attitude
Be forever grateful for what you have. You may not have achieved much success in the beginning, but you still need to have a grateful attitude. Give thanks for what you are currently achieving and you will have more in the future.
5. Be Humble
Regardless of your level of success you need to remain humble. You need to be a role model for others. Provide assistance and encouragement to others who are new and trying to follow in your foot-steps. I know that not all the ’successful’ Internet marketers have this quality. I have personally encountered some bad experience with these so called ’success gurus’ while trying to seek endorsements for my book.
They have quickly forgotten where they came from! Being busy is never a good excuse. Remember that whatever you sow, so shall you reap. If you sow encouragement and kindness, you will receive it back many folds. Likewise if you sow arrogance and discouragement, you will reap it back many folds.
6. Rapport
It is crucial to develop a good relationship with your prospects, customers and subscribers. Always set aside time to respond to ’support’ emails promptly. I realize that it will take time to do this but it is always the small stuff that makes a big difference.
I recently received an email from one of my ezine subscribers. He had recently lost his job and needed advice on how to start an Online business to market his knowledge.
Rather than trying to sell him my ebook, I took the time to email him with some of my ideas and suggestions. In view of his financial constraints, he ended purchasing my ebook. Later, he told me that the reason he purchased the ebook was because I took the time to respond to his email. It showed that I cared!
7. Persistency
Doing business on the Internet is not easy! This is why only 5% are successful. To put yourself in the 5% category you need to do things that the majority of the 95% do not like doing. Most of all you need to be persistent.
Think of Colonel Harland Sanders who received 1009 rejections before he received his first ‘yes’. That single ‘yes’ made him and Kentucky Fried Chicken successful all over the world.
Be persistent and have fun! You will make your journey more enjoyable.
These are some of the important mindset and attitude that you need to develop if you desire to have success on the Internet. Of course these have to be blended with the latest information on techniques and strategies. The combination of both the technical know-how and the mindset will provide you with the cutting edge.
